Privacy on this site

The calculators on this site run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are never sent to a server.

Calculators stay in your browser

The calculators run in the browser, and the numbers you enter are never sent to a server. Position size, margin and pip values are worked out on your own device, so a figure you type does not leave it. That matters when the figure is your account size in KSh.

There is no account on this site, no login and no profile. We do not ask for your name, your broker credentials or your M-Pesa details, and a page that did would not be ours.

How long each item is kept and what causes it to be deleted

Local storage items on this site persist until you clear them or your browser evicts them, and nothing on the server side deletes them for you. The visit-count flag and any calculator preference therefore last as long as your browser keeps them. Clearing site data, using a private window or resetting the browser removes them immediately, and the site continues to work afterwards.

Server request logs held by the host are kept for a short operational period set by the host, after which they are rotated out automatically. This site does not copy those logs into a separate store and does not build profiles from them. Analytics data, where collected, is retained in aggregate form and is not linked back to a single visitor.

Broker-side data follows the broker's retention schedule, which this site does not control and cannot shorten. A referral cookie expires on the broker's timetable. If you want a specific item gone, the reliable action is to clear your browser storage for this site, and for broker data to contact the broker directly. Nothing here is kept indefinitely by design.

Third parties that may see a request from your browser

The third parties involved are limited to the web host that serves these pages, any analytics service described below, and the broker whose link you choose to follow. The host sees standard server request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, because that is how any web server delivers a page. The broker sees the request only after you click through to its domain.

No social media pixel, no advertising network and no data broker is embedded in these pages. If that ever changes, this section will name the party and the purpose before the change takes effect. The regulator position is worth repeating in this context: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by the CMA of Kenya. That caveat is about the broker's authorisation, not about data, but it belongs wherever the broker is named.

The calculators themselves call no third party. They run as script in your browser and produce results such as the $385.00 margin figure locally. Nothing about your inputs is sent to the host, to analytics or to any broker until and unless you separately choose to follow a link.

The cookies and local storage items this site sets, and what each one is for

This site sets a small number of first-party items and describes each by purpose rather than by name, because names change when the site is updated. The categories are: a visit-count flag in local storage so the same browser is not counted repeatedly, a preference record for calculator display choices, and a security token used only if a form is ever added in future. No advertising cookie is set by this site itself.

Cookies set by brokers are outside this list and are covered separately on this page. When you follow a broker link, the broker's own domain may set cookies for session management, fraud checks and affiliate attribution. Those cookies belong to the broker, are governed by the broker's policy and are not readable by this site. FxPro operates MT4, MT5, cTrader and the FxPro app, and each platform may handle its own session cookies after you log in.

You can clear or block every item this site sets through your browser settings without losing access to the calculators, because the calculators run entirely in the browser and do not depend on stored state. Blocking local storage may cause the visit count to reset, which affects only aggregate counts and not your experience. Blocking third-party cookies affects broker sites, not this one.

Your rights over data held about you, and the practical way to use them

You have the right to ask what personal data this site holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to any processing. In practice this site holds no personal data that can be tied to you, so a request will usually return nothing to disclose. The rights still apply, and the route to use them is the contact address published on the site, not a form that collects more data.

For data held by a broker after you follow a link, the rights are exercised against that broker under its own policy and the law that applies to it. This site cannot delete a broker account, change a broker record or retrieve a broker statement on your behalf. If your concern is about a broker's handling of your M-Pesa deposit details, the request goes to the broker, and the FCA, CySEC or FSCA route is the relevant one for a firm it licenses.

For data held by the web host in server logs, deletion requests are handled by the host on this site's instruction. Because logs are typically retained for a short operational window, a request made soon after a visit is more likely to be actionable than one made much later. The contact address is the single entry point for all of these requests.

Cookies set by brokers

A broker sets its own cookies under its own policy once you follow a link to it. Those cookies are outside this desk's control, and the broker's privacy notice, not this page, governs them. Read it before you open an account, and note that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by the CMA of Kenya, so the policy you are reading is the one its own regulator requires.

Affiliate links are how the desk is paid, and a broker may record that a visit came from here. That record is a referral count, not a copy of your account activity, which the desk never sees.

What this site stores and what it deliberately does not

This site stores only what is needed to serve pages and count visits, and it does not store anything that identifies you personally. The only persistent item is a small local-storage flag that records that your browser has been counted for a visit, plus any preference you set for how the calculators display results. No name, email address, phone number, M-Pesa reference or trading account detail is ever written to a file on this site, because there is no login and no form that collects them.

What the site does not store includes your calculator inputs, your BTC/USD position size, your margin figure, your leverage setting or any broker account information. Those values exist only inside the page while it is open and are never transmitted to a server. If you close the tab, refresh or navigate away, the numbers you typed are gone unless your browser itself restores form fields, which is a browser setting outside this site's control.

The distinction matters in Kenya because M-Pesa is the familiar funding route and readers reasonably expect a finance site to ask for a phone number. This site never asks. It has no payment step, no account creation and no newsletter capture. Anything you see about funding, including M-Pesa, is explanatory text about how a broker handles deposits, not a data collection point on this site.

Affiliate tracking when you click a broker link, stated plainly

This site earns a commission if you open an account with a broker after following a link from here, and that is the plain commercial arrangement. The link carries a tag that tells the broker which site referred you. The tag identifies this site, not you as an individual. It does not carry your name, your M-Pesa number or any calculator figure, because none of those are ever collected here.

The tracking works through a parameter in the link and, on the broker side, a cookie that records the referral for a period the broker sets. That period, and the exact conditions under which a commission is payable, are set by the broker and not by this site. This site does not receive your account balance, your trades, your deposit amount or your identity from the broker; it receives only aggregate confirmation that a referral converted.

Being clear about this is part of the editorial approach here: the toolkit is meant to be useful whether or not you ever open a broker account. No calculator result is altered to favour a broker, and the margin figure of about $385.00 for a 0.10-lot bitcoin position at the applicable leverage cap is a worked example of the formula, not a prompt to sign up.

Traffic counts and local storage

We keep only aggregate traffic counts, which tell the desk how many visits a page received and nothing about who made them. There is no attempt to identify a reader from those counts. Local storage in your browser holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator, and it stays on your device.

Clearing your browser storage removes those preferences, and the site will work without them. Nothing in local storage is a record of your trading or your funds.

FAQ

Common questions

What information does Mombasa Token collect?

The site collects what you type into the contact form, such as your email address and message, and basic technical data your browser sends when loading a page. We do not ask for your M-Pesa PIN, your broker password or your account number, and you should never send those to us.

Do you track visitors with cookies?

The site uses cookies for basic function and, where present, for measuring which pages are read. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; some features may then behave differently. We do not use cookies to build a trading profile of you or to target you with trade signals.

Is my message kept private?

Messages to the desk are read by the editorial team and kept only as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. We do not sell your contact details. If you ask us to delete a message after it is resolved, we will do so where we are able.

What happens when I click a link to a broker?

You leave this site and arrive at the broker's own website, which has its own privacy policy and its own data practices. Anything you enter there, including M-Pesa details during funding, is handled by the broker, not by Mombasa Token. Read their policy before you open an account.

Do you collect data about my trades?

No. This desk never sees your positions, your balance or your M-Pesa transactions. The calculators run on the numbers you type and do not connect to any broker account. If a page ever asks for broker login details, treat it as fraudulent and do not enter them.
